Yoga is one of the most popular recreational activities nowadays. The history of the ancient practice is traced back to India over 5000 years ago in sacred Hindu scripts. Who would have thought it would still be trendy in the 21st century? Products like yoga mats and yoga pants are in hot demand, not to mention yoga classes. Prices for online yoga classes have also skyrocketed. Believe it or not, it’s popular within the Viewnary community as well! Check out our list of 3 best yoga poses and try them out yourself. They’re even better with an amazing view!
The Mountain Pose (Tadasana) is a classic beginner yoga pose. To perform it, stand either with your feet together or hip-width apart. Roll your shoulders back and down, and then lift the crown of your head upwards. Flex your thighs, contract your stomach, and stand very straight to lengthen your spine. Finally, relax your jaw and breathe deeply and calmly. Breathe in through your nose and out from your mouth. Practice makes perfect – why not make practice more exciting on this private terrace with the best views in New York City?
The Tree Pose, or Vrksasana, is another foundational yoga pose. First, stand in the Mountain Pose position. Shift to your left foot as you inhale and lift your right foot off the ground, placing it flat on your shin or inner-thigh, depending on your flexibility. As you breathe deeply, put your palms together in front of your sternum in prayer hands. Since you’ll be looking straight ahead of you for a long time, staring at the best views in Miami will help! Do your next yoga class on this exclusive terrace with panoramic views of Miami and South Beach.
Trikonasana, also known as the Triangle Pose, is slightly tougher than the first 2. To start, stand wide with your feet 3-4 feet apart. Turn your left foot roughly 90 degrees outwards. Then, align your left heel with the arch of your right foot. It’s important to keep your legs straight. Once fixed in position, bend down and place your front hand down on the floor while lifting your back arm straight up to the sky. Spread the fingers of your back hand and look either down at the floor or up toward your back arm. Want to perform this pose in a magical setting? Try it on a stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the Spanish Steps in Rome.
